The name AWearness carries ANDY WOLF at its core and at the same time combines wear – to wear – with awareness – a conscious approach to people and nature.

For our 15th anniversary, we made a long-held dream come true and created an acetate collection that brings together the past and the future. With AWearness Metal, we are expanding the AWearness family to include metal frames and clip-ons that combine versatility, precision and craftsmanship.

AWearness stands for thoughtful design down to the smallest detail. We exclusively use materials with recycled content: high-quality Acetate Renew and Monel.

In the construction of our frames, we completely avoid permanent connections. All parts are screwed together individually and, thanks to this modular system, can be replaced easily and straightforwardly. After many years of wear, every single frame and clip-on can be completely disassembled into its individual parts – meaning materials can be separated by type and easily recycled. By replacing individual components instead of entire frames, we also reduce both packaging and transport.

Technical details are not hidden; they are at the heart of every AWearness frame and clip-on. All individual parts, such as temple cores, hinges and endpieces, are components developed by us specifically for this collection. Every component and every material comes from Europe, with just one exception: the nose pads of the AWearness metal frames are made of titanium and manufactured in Japan.

A distinctive pattern runs throughout the AWearness collection, derived from our brand, our personality – or simply from the letters A and W. The design language of every single component speaks AWearness, making an AWearness frame instantly recognizable even without a visible logo.

The AWearness collection brings together two lines with one distinctive design language: the acetate frames are inspired by the shapes and colors of our very first ANDY WOLF collection – a tribute to our beginnings. The metal frames combine classic and modern elements. Carefully considered details such as facets and embossed patterns turn every AWearness frame into a three-dimensional design object and a luxurious companion for everyday life.

Our AWearness frames are carefully handcrafted in our manufactories in Austria and France.

Every AWearness acetate frame is handcrafted with the utmost care at our manufactory in Hartberg, Austria. We use high-quality 8 mm Acetate Renew, which contains 40% recycled content while offering the same properties as conventional acetate. AWearness frames are available in twelve carefully selected colors. Every model comes in every color option, allowing shape and color to be combined to suit every taste.

Our AWearness metal frames are made at our manufactory in the Jura region of France. Here, too, every single frame is handcrafted with precision and skill. Each model is made from Monel, with the sole exception of the nose pads, which are made from Japanese titanium. The frames are available in four color combinations, and every single version – whether acetate or metal – comes with a matching sun clip that transforms the frame into sunglasses in an instant.
