The name AWearness carries ANDY WOLF within it and also stands for wear – wearing – and awareness – conscious interaction with people and nature.

Design, passion, and craftsmanship go into every ANDY WOLF frame, and AWearness adds special details and the desire for a more sustainable way of living together.

For the 15th anniversary of ANDY WOLF, we have fulfilled a heartfelt wish and designed an acetate collection that unites the past and the future. With AWearness Metal, we are expanding the AWearness family with metal frames and clip-ons that combine versatility, precision, and craftsmanship.

AWearness stands for thoughtful design down to the smallest detail. We only use materials with recycled content: high-quality Acetate Renew and Monel.

We completely avoid using non-detachable connections in our construction. All parts are screwed together separately and can be easily replaced thanks to this kit system. After many years of wear, each pair of glasses and clip-ons can be dismantled into all their individual parts, i.e. into single-type materials that can be easily recycled. By replacing individual parts, we save on both packaging and transport.

Technische Details werden nicht versteckt, sondern stehen im Fokus jeder AWearness Fassung und jedes Clip-Ons. Sämtliche Einzelteile wie Bügeleinlagen, Scharniere und Backen sind von uns eigens für diese Kollektion entwickelte Komponenten. Jede Kompontente, jedes Material kommt aus Europa, einzig die Nasenpads der AWearness Metallbrillen sind aus Titan und werden in Japan gefertigt.

A pattern runs through the AWearness collection that is derived from our brand, our personality, or simply from the letters A and W. The design language of each individual component speaks AWearness, so you can recognize an AWearness frame at first glance, even without a visible logo.

The AWearness collection combines two lines with a signature design: the acetate frames are inspired by the shapes and colors of our very first ANDY WOLF collection—a tribute to our beginnings. The metal frames are classic and modern.Carefully placed details such as facets and pattern embossing make every AWearness frame a three-dimensional design object, a luxurious companion for everyday life.

Our AWearness frames are carefully handcrafted in our factories in Austria and France.

Every AWearness acetate frame is handcrafted with the utmost care in our workshop in Hartberg, Austria. We use high-quality 8mm Acetate Renew, which is 40% recycled and has the same properties as conventional acetate. AWearness frames are available in twelve selected colors. Each model is available in every color variation, allowing shapes and colors to be combined to suit every taste.

Our AWearness metal frames are made in our factory in the Jura region of France. Here, too, each frame is crafted by hand with precision and skill. Each model is made from Monel, with only the nose pads made from Japanese titanium. They are available in four color combinations and each variant – whether acetate or metal – comes with a matching sun clip that transforms the frame into sunglasses in no time at all.
